East Lawyers was founded in 2012 by its principal, David East. Since its establishment it has advised corporates, institutions and individuals on a range of legal matters. David specialises in:

• property (leasing and sale) having negotiated commercial and residential tenancy arrangements ranging from student accommodation to leases with major shopping mall operators and government entities

• infrastructure including social infrastructure, water and sewage plants and electricity generation plants; and

• general corporate and commercial law.

Over the course of his career David has held a range of senior positions including:

• Legal Counsel at the Sydney Harbour Tunnel Company

• Global General Counsel at Campus Living Villages

• Partner at DLA Piper

• Chairman of DLA Phillips Fox
